Think laterally and the solution will appear

Continuation of Reasons to Stick to the Plan

How is it working for me?  Well, yesterday I let the day just happen instead of forcing it.  I did do some chores, but only what was needed (like dishwasher and washing).  Then I spent the rest of the day with the girls just being with them – reading stories, listening to them, doing homework, cuddling up watching television and so on.  Then the strangest things happened whilst cooking the evening meal.  Thoughts started to flow as if there was no tomorrow and this not only gave me enough content for my daily writing blog Note 195 – Writing (or thinking about writing) whilst you are cooking but made me realise that this kind of multi tasking could really work for me.

Wouldn’t it be great if I could create blogs and articles whilst cooking?  This has got to be better than trying to scrape the dregs of inspiration from my mind late at night after a full day at work.

This totally relates to one of my favourite quotes from Noel Walker’s book Get the Life you Want (GTLYW):

“Think laterally and find appropriate ways of freeing yourself of obligations and tedious routines that are boring and tiring; however if you are currently having to do these things because of responsibility, then do them wholeheartedly, but learn to think laterally to look for solutions.   There is always an answer”.

Now I just need to work out what else I can do to free myself from the boring and tedious tasks!

Today I stuck to the plan and had time out this afternoon – some of which I spent in the park with the girls.  It was such a lovely sunny autumn day and we had fun.  Just one more exciting point…

Introductory courses

The work on the Get the Life you Want (GTLYW) introductory courses is underway.  The information in GTLYW Pocket Guide (which shows you how you too can get the life you want)  will be the basis of the course and will show you why and how this revolutionary, practical approach will change your thinking and your life from the moment you turn the first page.

Details of the book and courses can be found on OpenLeaf events page.

That’s all for this week.  Thank you for popping by and I hope you are having a great day too!

Until next time…
